NWA: HIGH IMPACT
May 17th, 2003 - Live on WB
Allentown, PA @ The Wrestleplex Studios
Scott Hudson and Woman welcome the viewers to the show. He begins to run down the list of matches for tonight but he is cut off as Jody Fleisch makes his way down to the ring. He has a mic in hand and begins to talk about America. Jody Fleisch says that he is sick of people saying that the best junior heavyweights come out of America and Japan. He says he worked long and hard to make a name for himself and that he is the best damn junior heavyweight to have come out of the UK. He says that he can beat ANY American that is thrown at him and challenges an American to come down to the ring and face him.
"God Bless America" begins to play as the crowd cheers, bringing out The Patriot. He makes his way down to the ring and once he is in the ring, Jody Fleisch says that The Patriot is not a junior heavyweight so he should go back to his locker room. The Patriot says that Jody Fleisch never challenged a junior heavyweight to a match.... he challenged an AMERICAN to a match. The crowd goes crazy as The Patriot hands the mic to the ring announcer who is outside the ring and just then, Jody Fleisch takes advantage with The Patriot's back turned, before the bell.
Match #1
The Patriot pinned Jody Fleisch with the Patriot Missile in 0:07:33.
Rating: ** 1/4
After the match, William Regal came down to the the ring and attacked The Patriot. He took the American flag and started to beat The Patriot with it and then quickly ran away, avoiding security.
[COMMERCIAL BREAK]
Coming back from the break, an NWA commercial is aired showing battle tanks shooting artillary, planes flying through the air dropping bombs, and then clips of explosions seen. Then it shows action from past matches in NWA as a voice says, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4TH, 2003 - NWA PRESENTS.... WRESTLEWAR 2003!
The cameras cut to the parking lot as a black limo pulls up. The doors open up and out comes Hulk Hogan. The crowd can be heard cheering his name as he enters the arena. Missy Hyatt comes up to Hogan and immediately begins to interview him. She asks him about Regal, Patriot, and everything going on and Hogan says that its time, once again, for him to remind everyone that America is the best damn country in the world. He continues walking into the arena as Hyatt thanks him for the interview and directs the cameras to go back to ringside.
Scott Hudson reminds us of the altercations between Xavier and Michael Shane this past week. First with Xavier beating Michael Shane and then later attacking him for "not taking his loss to seriously" as Xavier put it. Woman added that this led to a rematch tonight between the two. Both partipants make their way down to the ring and get things underway quickly.
Match #2
Michael Shane pinned Xavier with the Picture Perfect Elbow in 0:09:22.
Rating: ***
In the back, Missy Hyatt tried to interview NWA's newest additions to the roster, The Dupps. Everytime they asked a question, they'd giver her an indirect answer. Bo Dupp kept picking his nose and scrathing his butt, while Stan Dupp continuously tried to touch Missy Hyatt. She kept smacking his hands away until she got disgusted with the two and left the area.
The cameras cut to the ring immediately as the Million Dollar Corporation with manager Ted DiBiase (but without Big Show), are in the ring ready for their match. They talk the incident that happend last wee and said that The Untouchables must pay. Out came The Untouchables with their manager Miss Kara Slice. She stands outside the ring their corner as the guys get in the ring and MDC toss verbal threats at them. The match started out with Rick Michaels and Danny Doring circling around in the ring as the bell rang, starting the match.
Match #3
The Untouchables (Brian Kendrick, Paul London and Rick Michaels) defeated
Million Dollar Corp. (Chris Divine, Danny Doring and Evan Karagias) when

Clips from NWA: Slamzone where Rick Michaels and Evan Karagias went to a double countout leading to a brawl all the way to the back and starting a big brawl between The Untouchables and the Million Dollar Corporation. At the point where Ted DiBiase is holding Miss Kara Slice and she back kicks her leg into DiBiase's groin, the camera freezes breifly as the word CRUNCH! pops up on the screen. Then a voice says "Eat Snickers Crunch" as the segment ends.
At ringside, Woman reminds us on Slamzone when Jannetty was talking to someone on the phone about his upcoming match for #1 contendership and the possibility of him facing Shawn Michaels for the NWA World Heavyweight Title just after reconciling their differences. She continued, saying how Kevin Nash bursted into Jannetty's dressing room, gripped him up, and said that the person he must wrestle against was him. Hudson adds that both are former tag partners with Shawn Michaels as former WWE World Tag Team Champions back in the "Federation Years" of the company and that the match between Kevin Nash and Marty Jannetty should be a brutal one. Once both participants in the match are in the ring, the match begins.
Match #4
[#1 CONTENDERS MATCH]:
Kevin Nash pinned Marty Jannetty with the Jackknife Powerbomb in 0:12:10.
Rating: 1/4*
After the match, Kevin Nash took the mic and said that in the past, they fought together, and as friends they fought along side each other. Nash says that when they all walked out on the WWE earlier this year, they all agreed on sticking together. He continues by saying that now Scott Hall is in ECCW, Triple H, Justin Credible and Syxx-Pac are in WWE, leaving him to be by himself. Nash says that he is tired of being the backbone of their friendship... a friendship between performers that left a legacy in their footsteps. He says that has now ended, and that at Wrestlewar, he will end Shawn Michaels' career forever. Just then, as Jannetty was trying to get up, Kevin Nash walks over and sets him up for another Jackknife Powerbomb and delivers. His music hits as he heads leaves the ring.
In the back, Jonny Storm is seen in the parking lot watching Jody Fleisch put his bags in the trunk of his rental car. Storm says to Fleisch that it looks like he is having trouble proving that he is the so-called best junior heavyweight to come out of the UK. Jody Fleisch says that he is sick of all the stupid Americans and that they are nothing but a distraction. (boos in the arena are heard) Jonny Storm says, that the Americans seem to love him though. (crowd is heard chanting Jonny! Jonny!) Jonny Storm smiles as Jody Fleisch says they both need to settle it once and for all.
Jonny Storm says how about they settle it in a match next week. Jody Fleisch says no, how about a Best of Three series. Jonny Storm thinks for a little and says no... They should push the limit and take each other to a whole new level and only then it will prove who is the better man. Storm says it will be a BEST OF FIVE SERIES! Starting next week on Slamzone. Jody Fleisch then says "Its a deal, now get back to entertaining your stupid American fans" as he closes the trunk door of his rental car and gets inside, leaving the arena.
Woman and Scott Hudson talk about Hogan and Big Show's first feud in the WCW back in mid to late 90s. Hudson says Big Show could crumble Hulkamania, or it'll be another repeat of Sturgis, North Dakota with Hulkamania running wild all over Big Show.
Match #5
Hulk Hogan defeated Big Show by disqualification in 0:09:22.
Rating: -** 1/2
During the match, William Regal, 2 Cold Scorpio, and EDDIE GUERRERO came out and started to attack Hulk Hogan. Out comes The Patriot to help him out but he also gets taken down. Eddie Guerrero grabs a mic and says he is sick of America. He says that America is nothing but a bunch of sheep being led to the slaughter and the person leading them is the American Government. William Regal says that 2 Cold Scorpio and Eddie Guerrero now agree with him, that America is just not the best nation going today. The fans boo loudly and start throwing scraps into the ring.
Big Show takes the mic and says, it doesn't end there. He says ever since WCW, fans never believed in him. They said he was a goof, not able to wrestle, not able to live up to expectations. Big Show said: "Well... maybe I'll never live up to my name and be the "Big Show"... but there is one thing I do know... I am Paul Wight... THE GIANT!!
Hogan and Patriot lay there in the ring as William Regal, 2 Cold Scorpio, Eddie Guerrero, and "The Giant" Paul Wight stand in the center of the ring holding their arms up high as the crowd continues to boo heavily as the show ends.
